What PDF/A changes
PDF/A is a version of PDF designed to look the same in 50 years. PDFWisely makes your file conform to PDF/A-2b (ISO 19005-2, level B), the level most courts and archives ask for:
- Adds an embedded sRGB colour profile (output intent) so colours are defined precisely.
- Writes XMP metadata with the PDF/A identification, title, author and dates.
- Removes things PDF/A forbids: JavaScript, auto-run actions, embedded files and encryption.
- Checks that fonts are embedded, and switches to image mode if they aren't.
