How to use Word to PDF
- Add your Word file. Drag in a .docx document.
- Choose a layout. Pick A4 or US Letter, the font and text size.
- Convert and download. Press Convert to PDF.
What to expect
PDFWisely reads your document's structure (headings, paragraphs, bold and italic text, bulleted and numbered lists, tables and images) and lays it out as a clean PDF in your browser, so your document is never uploaded.
Because it rebuilds the layout rather than using Microsoft Word itself, exact fonts, columns, text boxes, headers and footers may differ. When the PDF must match Word exactly, such as a designed CV, use Word's own File → Save As → PDF, which is free and pixel-perfect.
Private by design
Your files are processed entirely inside your browser on your own device. Nothing is uploaded to PDFWisely, so there's nothing for us to store, read or delete. You can even disconnect from the internet after this page loads.
Frequently asked questions
Is Word to PDF free?
Yes. No sign-up and no watermark.
Does it support .doc files?
Only .docx. Open older .doc files in Word or Google Docs and save them as .docx first.
Will my CV look exactly the same?
Close, but fonts and spacing can differ. For an exact match, save as PDF from Word itself.
Is my document uploaded?
No. Conversion happens in your browser, so it's safe for confidential files.
