- Download. Open the PDF on any device. The text is searchable.
What is an XPS file?
XPS (and OpenXPS, .oxps) is Microsoft's alternative to PDF. Windows created XPS files when you printed to Microsoft XPS Document Writer, and some scanners and banking systems still produce them. Very few devices can open XPS today, especially phones and Macs, so converting to PDF makes the file readable everywhere.
PDFWisely draws each page with the fonts embedded in the XPS file, and adds an invisible text layer so you can still search and copy the text.
Private by design
Your files are processed entirely inside your browser on your own device. Nothing is uploaded to PDFWisely, so there's nothing for us to store, read or delete. You can even disconnect from the internet after this page loads.
